After teaching at many quilt guilds and at the major quilt shows in the US, I realize I can only reach a small group of the quilting world this way. Getting my techniques and instruction online will allow me to reach the world of quilters and crafters.
Content will include the technology I use to create fabric art:
- inkjet printing on fabric at home or online with photoshop elements (memory quilts and more);
- FraxHD, a fractal iPad app to design modern whole cloth quilts
- Electric Quilt
Also included will be my non-tech, more traditional techniques:
- Fabric weaving with raw edge strips of fabric
- Peekaboo fabric reverse appliqué
My first videos start with my Pixelate That! with Photoshop Elements workshop. No experience with Photoshop Elements required. If you don't already own Photoshop Elements, Adobe.com
offers a free 30 day trial.
My goal is to post at least 1 - 2 technique videos each month (maybe more). Additional posts will include exclusive video instruction not included in my individual courses, new product news, tips, a peek at the projects I'm working on, and whatever else I find intriguing in the quilting/craft world. Subscribing to the club allows you to learn my techniques at a lower cost and in turn you support my efforts to create more videos. It's an endless cycle :-)
Help critique my work - I’d love to get feedback on clarity of instruction for both the videos and written materials. What I think is clear isn’t always, especially with computers involved :-).
As a member, you'll have access to all the content posted so long as you stay subscribed, and information that won't be publicly available to non-subscribers.
Many thanks if you decide to be a member. If being a monthly member isn’t for you right now, eventually my workshops will be available for purchase individually.
The first individual course, Pixelate That! with Photoshop Elements for Quilts and Crafters is now available to purchase.
