I originally learned the weaving technique to use in garments.  The weaving is done in a square manner like a checkerboard with the addition of decorative top stitching.  The fabric choices will depend on the project and is a great way to use left over fabric in your stash to make items like the project pouch or mobile phone sleeves.  The video shows many examples of projects and clothing I've made for inspiration.
